The merger of
What's in it for you?
The CEO Corner As many of you already know, on August 27, CCSD members voted overwhelmingly to partner with First Heritage. The coming together of these two successful institutions will increase our financial resources, thus allowing us to offer members more convenient locations and more comprehensive services. Though the merger was effective immediately, each credit union will operate independently until February 2009. This is necessary in order to merge data and update our computer systems. We are making every effort to insure this is a smooth and seamless transition, and that our employees are fully trained and will continue to offer outstanding service. It is important to note that no products or services will be eliminated as the result of the merger, however many will be enhanced. We would also like to assure our members that you will continue to see the same friendly faces in the offices that you patronage. We are excited about the merger between these two outstanding institutions, and we realize that you may have questions about what to expect. Please feel free to contact any one of our offices if you have further questions. We will be happy to assist you. Santa Will Be Here. . . CCSD would like to extend an invitation to all of our Kirby Kangaroo members to come and visit with Santa on Saturday, December 13th from 10am till Noon. Santa will be stopping by CCSD’s main office in Elmira Heights. Everyone who stops in will receive a sweet treat and a picture with Santa that can be taken home with you. We hope to see you there! Horseheads Family Day Celebration The Horseheads Youth Bureau organized the Family Day Celebration held at Sullivan Park on July 12th. They asked area businesses to come and bring an activity for the youth to participate in. CCSD was happy to get involved. Several staff and board members donated their afternoon to run a bean bag toss game and hand out prizes to all the young people who attended. Over 25 local agencies came together to provide area youth and their families with a safe and fun day of activities. We are happy to report it was a tremendous success. We, here at CCSD, look forward to working with the Horseheads Youth Bureau again in the future!
Pictured above are the staff that volunteered to work Horseheads Family Days. In the front left to right: Jaime Lauper, Kathy Dilmore, Laura Randall and Chris Panosian. Kirby at the We would like to thank all the Kirby Kangaroo members and their families who came out to the Pioneer game and picnic at Dunn Field back in July. Kirby Kangaroo was happy to see so many of his friends there. Kirby was even able to toss out the first pitch of the game! It was a wonderful event and to top it all off, the Pioneers beat the Hornell Dodgers!! Thank you too, for all the canned goods you brought to donate to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. It will certainly help many people in need!
